We are seeking a highly qualified Assistant Professor to join our Department of Politics and International Affairs at Wake Forest University. The successful candidate will be a tenure-track faculty member with a strong research agenda and a commitment to excellence in teaching.
Key Responsibilities- Teach introductory courses in American politics and develop and teach courses that connect with their research and complement subjects already represented among American politics scholars in the department.
- Pursue an active research agenda and contribute to the department's research initiatives.
- Mentor and advise undergraduate students from diverse backgrounds, including international students, first-generation students, and those who identify as members of historically marginalized communities.
- Ph.D. or ABD status in Political Science or a closely related field.
- Strong research agenda and a commitment to excellence in teaching.
- Ability to teach introductory courses in American politics and develop and teach courses that connect with their research and complement subjects already represented among American politics scholars in the department.
- Experience working with diverse populations and a commitment to creating an inclusive learning environment.
