Tier 2 Field Engineer - MSP

MainSpring, Inc. is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Tier 2 Field Engineer - MSP to provide technical support for a variety of clients in the DC-MD-VA metro area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide proactive network and infrastructure administration analysis and support for clients
  • Troubleshoot and resolve IT-related issues requiring an onsite presence
  • Assist project engineers with new client onboardings
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Minimum 4 years' experience providing technical support for desktop and server level operating systems and applications
  • Strong technical skills supporting Microsoft Server 2016 or newer required
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, and Group Policy
  • Ability to install, configure and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows 10 and MacOS Catalina and newer operating systems
  • Knowledge and experience with virtual environments (AWS, Azure, VMware, Hyper-V)
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Office 365
  • Working knowledge of firewall technologies
  • Ability to troubleshoot computer and peripheral hardware issues
  • Ability to manage outside vendors to resolve client service requests
  • Excellent customer service skills and strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Fluent English language skills with experience providing recommendations to clients
  • Own reliable transportation, have a clean driving record and willing to travel in and around the Washington DC metro area
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze problems and make decisions
  • Effective multi-tasking skills and ability to succeed in fast-paced work environments
