Position Overview

The Role: At Phalen Leadership Academies, we are seeking dedicated and innovative Senior Special Education Coordinators who are committed to enhancing the educational experience for our students with special needs. Our coordinators play a pivotal role in fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment that prioritizes the success of every scholar.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the organization of caseloads and assignments.
  • Develop and maintain effective scheduling systems for caseload management.
  • Ensure the proper functioning of IIEP/MI systems and provide troubleshooting support.
  • Handle enrollment processes and related responsibilities.
  • Participate in IEP meetings to guarantee adherence to compliance standards.
  • Manage a reduced caseload to focus on quality support.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution, with relevant endorsements.
  • A valid teaching license with necessary special education endorsements.
  • Strong understanding of grade-level standards, benchmarks, and curriculum.
  • Experience in communicating student progress to parents and providing constructive feedback.
