Part Time Barber Instructor Position in Northeast Texas

Kilgore College is seeking a qualified part-time barber instructor to join their team in Longview, Texas.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and facilitating the instructional process related to the barber certificate program. This includes providing classroom and clinical instruction, supervising students as they perform client procedures, preparing class syllabi and tests, maintaining records, and recruiting and advising students.
Requirements- A current Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation barber license is required.
- Some working experience as a barber is also necessary.
- Teaching experience is preferred but not required.
- Good written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Proficiency in computer skills is also required.
- Ability to work well with minimal supervision and deal professionally with diverse populations.
This is a part-time position that pays $15-$20 per hour. Benefits include workers' compensation and limited part-time retirement plan. However, Kilgore College does not participate in the federal Social Security program, which may impact benefits under certain circumstances.
