Business Process and Accountability Support Specialist

General Overview:
The Business Process and Accountability Support Specialist engages in advanced administrative functions and provides operational assistance across all essential areas and operations within the department.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct advanced administrative and operational analysis research to assist the Director for Business Process and Accountability.
  2. Execute a variety of tasks and assignments to bolster the highly technical operations of the department, including business operations analysis and assessments of policies and procedures.
  3. Facilitate project and change management methodologies and initiatives.
  4. Assist in the initiation and completion of projects, including tracking, communication, planning, and follow-up.
  5. Support the execution of process improvement initiatives, which may involve diagnosing process challenges, identifying gaps, minimizing errors, and developing actionable strategies.
  6. Oversee and/or monitor multiple tasks and projects, preparing routine project summary reports for leadership review.
  7. Utilize various software applications, such as spreadsheets and databases, to modify and format data and reports.
  8. Exercise sound judgment in directing inquiries to the appropriate personnel.
  9. Address issues, solve problems, and plan with a strong emphasis on customer service, project quality, and meticulous detail.
  10. Assist key personnel in data collection, analysis, and process enhancement.
  11. Help prepare and deliver presentations.
  12. Plan, develop, and organize events for the Business Process and Accountability department, including meetings and special functions.
  13. Maintain and update the Business Process and Accountability website.
  14. Perform additional duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's degree in business or a related field is required.
  2. A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in project and change management, process improvement, auditing, or operations management is required.
  3. Experience within a higher education institution is preferred.
