We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Scientist to join our team at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Epidemiology, Public Health, or a related field, with a focus on community partnerships, particularly within Spanish-speaking communities.

This role involves direct engagement with Spanish-speaking communities, and we offer a competitive salary of $72,009.60 per year. We also provide relocation assistance of up to $2,500. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work independently but in close cooperation with the Principal Investigator and other Research Scientists.

The Postdoctoral Fellow will receive training in grantsmanship and be encouraged to submit grants and first-authored publications. This position is available immediately.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of grant proposals and participate in publications and presentations as author or co-author.
  • Work with the Principal Investigator to develop a training plan and design studies and perform analyses.
  • Develop, adapt, and implement new research techniques and protocols, and analyze and interpret data.
  • Perform routine and complex laboratory procedures throughout the training period.
  • Meet with the Principal Investigator regularly to discuss research progress and plans.

Requirements

  • Doctorate (MD, PhD, VMD, or DDS) in a field directly related to research specialization.
