Position Overview

The Rehabilitation Therapy Assistant plays a crucial role in delivering Physical Therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.

  • Utilize supplies and equipment efficiently and judiciously.
  • Execute additional tasks as assigned.
  • The Rehabilitation Therapy Assistant must demonstrate the expertise and skills necessary to deliver care tailored to the age of the patients in their designated unit.

  • The individual should possess knowledge of developmental principles across the lifespan and have the ability to evaluate data indicative of the patient's condition, interpreting the necessary information to identify each patient's specific needs and provide appropriate care as outlined in departmental policies.

Qualifications

Education and Training
Associate degree or completion of an accredited two-year program in Physical Therapist Assistance.

Licensure and Certification
Active license in the State of Florida as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Current BLS/HealthCare Provider certification is required.

Experience
No prior experience is necessary.
