Job SummaryThis is a permanent, full-time position where you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing all aspects of electrical components, equipment, and machinery.
Key Responsibilities- Design, analyze, and simulate electrical systems using software tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and MEP.
- Develop and test electrical components and systems, including switchgear, low voltage, power conditioning, and energization.
- Conduct short circuit analysis and troubleshoot electrical systems to identify and resolve issues.
- Apply knowledge of the fundamentals of engineering (FE) to design and implement effective solutions.
- Ensure all electrical designs and installations comply with the relevant building codes and standards.
- Collaborate with the team to develop and implement project plans and timelines.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure systems are working optimally.
- Draft and update electrical design documentation and reports.
- Train and mentor junior engineers and other team members.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited institution.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, specifically in electrical systems design and electrical troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and MEP.
- Extensive knowledge of switchgear, low voltage, power conditioning, and energization.
- Familiarity with building codes and regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical systems.
- Solid understanding of the fundamentals of engineering (FE).
- Ability to work well in a team and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
