Job Title: Clinical Laboratory Technologist

Job Summary:

The Department of State Hospitals is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Clinical Laboratory Technologist to join our team. As a Clinical Laboratory Technologist, you will be responsible for performing laboratory testing, phlebotomy, and other related duties under the direction of the Clinical Laboratory Supervisor or designee.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform laboratory testing utilizing various laboratory analyzers
  • Conduct phlebotomy for clients at MSH
  • Participate in monthly bench work rotation in various laboratory departments
  • Maintain accurate records and reports
  • Collaborate with other laboratory staff to ensure smooth laboratory operations
Requirements:
  • Current Certified Clinical Laboratory Scientist license with the State of California
  • Excellent phlebotomy skills, good attendance, punctuality, and good computer skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
Working Conditions:

While working on-site, employees must follow current face covering guidance as issued by CDPH.

Special Requirements:
  • Pass a drug screening prior to being hired
  • Clear a background investigation prior to being hired
  • Obtain medical clearance prior to being hired
  • Hold a current CA Clinical Laboratory Technologist's License
