This role is office-based and encompasses a variety of specialties including: Oncology, Allergy, Geriatrics, Pulmonary, Dermatology, Urgent Care, Endocrinology, Cardiology, Neurology, Rheumatology, Occupational Medicine, Women's Health, ENT, Vascular, Psychiatry, and Wound Care.

Key Responsibilities:


Support healthcare professionals in delivering patient care by preparing patients for examinations, obtaining vital signs, documenting medical histories, and updating patient records.

Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to enhance communication and coordination of care, thereby improving patient outcomes.
Process recommendations from healthcare providers, including medication orders, referrals, and diagnostic tests, ensuring accuracy and timely execution.
Assist in implementing prescribed medical interventions and treatments, adhering strictly to protocols to promote patient safety.
Administer medications and treatments, following established protocols and guidelines to ensure accurate documentation and patient safety.

Safeguard patient confidentiality by ensuring that health information and records are communicated consistently with applicable standards, laws, and organizational policies.

Respond to emergencies and safety hazards by utilizing personal protective equipment and adhering to hospital precautions to prevent patient harm.

Perform additional duties as reasonably required or assigned.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION:

Required:
Diploma in Practical Nursing

EXPERIENCE:

Required: 1 year as an LPN
Preferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as recognized by ANCC or national nursing standards.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:

Required:
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensed in North Carolina or a Compact State.
