  • Adhere to the Association operating policies and procedures by operating the programs within the guidelines set forth.
  • Maintain and clean equipment and any wellness-related rooms according to the schedule or as requested by supervisor/leadership.
  • Ensure that the highest quality of service is provided.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Wellness Director.
  • Follow YMCA policies and procedures regarding the safety, health, and welfare of members, program participants, guests, and staff; respond to emergency situations in accordance with facility policies and certification requirements.
  • Complete all job-related meetings and trainings as required.
  • Maintain and keep all job-related certifications in an active status.
Member Engagement and Orientations
  • Create exercise routines through member orientations and make recommendations that are within the coach's scope of experience and education.
  • Provide and manage health objectives to help members maximize and maintain healthy lifestyles.
  • Provide continuous education regarding 'risk factor' modification and pre-established goal accomplishments to participants.
  • Collect and analyze data to identify member needs to encourage healthy lifestyles. Assist participants in creating goals that are achievable.
  • Demonstrate confidentiality between the coach and the member.

  • Have the ability to understand, adapt to, and interact with diverse people, teams, perspectives, and cultures.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
