The project management team is in search of a consultant to enhance our initiatives in various states. The selected consultant will concentrate on customizing and presenting the violence mitigation curriculum to diverse audiences, including state and national partners engaged in political violence prevention and related fields.

Project Description
The Resilient States Project is a partnership aimed at empowering a diverse network of leaders to foster resilience and mitigate risks associated with division and political violence. This initiative connects leaders from various sectors and ideologies to implement strategic actions that unify communities.
Goals and Responsibilities
- Design and adapt training agendas, including goal-setting and activation tasks;
- Create engaging presentation materials that integrate best practices from international peacebuilding with the violence mitigation curriculum;
- Conduct both virtual and in-person training sessions, providing relevant handouts and templates.
Travel Requirements
This role necessitates extensive travel for training and meetings, which may involve multiple trips within a month.
Logistical Considerations
Consultants will manage their own logistics, ensuring costs are appropriately budgeted. A designated staff member will oversee the project and provide necessary background materials.
Expected Deliverables
- Develop and modify training modules based on the violence mitigation curriculum;
- Create resource documents, including training materials and templates;
- Deliver training to partners at both state and national levels.
Ethical Standards
Consultancy activities must adhere to the principles of 'Do No Harm' and inclusivity. Consultants are required to sign the organization's Code of Conduct and ensure that their work maintains positive relationships with all stakeholders.
Consultant Qualifications
Essential Skills:
- Over 5 years of experience in relevant fields;
- In-depth knowledge of political violence and conflict resolution;
- Strong analytical and research capabilities;
- Excellent communication and writing skills;
- Proficiency in educational technology;
- Ability to collaborate with diverse groups;
- Effective project management skills.
Preferred Skills:
- At least 10 years of experience in curriculum development related to political violence prevention;
- Demonstrated success in creating educational programs and training materials.
