Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Linux System Engineer to serve as a technical lead for our cloud and on-premises compute environments. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing, administering, supporting, and enhancing our Linux cloud and on-premises environments to ensure continuous improvement and rapid problem resolution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and administer Linux cloud and on-premises compute environments to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Develop and implement automation scripts using Bash, Python, Ansible, and PowerShell to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement new methodologies and tools to enhance the DevOps pipeline, including application performance monitoring, CI/CD cycles, infrastructure, and configuration management.
  • Investigate and resolve technical issues, provide Level 2 technical support, and perform root cause analysis for production errors.
  • Develop software to integrate with internal back-end systems and improve customer experience.
Requirements
  • 5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in a related field, or 3 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree in a related field, or 9 years of relevant experience with a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum Secret clearance required to start, with the ability to obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI with enhanced security checks.
  • 3+ years of experience in virtual or containerized environments, automation scripts, cloud environments, Linux administration, and VMware vCenter and ESXi.
  • Desired experience with GitLab/GitHub pipelines and actions, and containers like Docker and Kubernetes.
