Job Title: Senior Surgical Pathology Coordinator

Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Surgical Pathology Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our laboratory operations team, you will be responsible for providing advanced-level support to our surgical pathology service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and manage the registration and insurance verification of private consult cases received by the pathology service.
  • Accession specimens according to approved protocols and document materials received.
  • Serve as a liaison between clients and BWH Pathology, ensuring timely receipt of slides and blocks.
  • Provide clinical support duties, including organizing and managing the Breast Pathology Service.
  • Order, pick up, and facilitate the handling of materials needed for assay send-out (OncotypeDX).
  • Organize case lists for Radiological/Pathological bi-weekly conferences and identify slides for review.
  • Coordinate office and laboratory operations, including supplies, cleaning, and maintenance.
Requirements:
  • Associate degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 4 years of applicable experience in a healthcare or laboratory setting.
  • Understanding and use of advanced-level medical terminology.
  • Experience using PowerPath preferred, but not required.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications required.
  • Ability to type 60 WPM and complete data entry with high accuracy.
