Medical Screener Specialist

The estimated salary for this role is $55,000 - $65,000 per year.
In this role, you will be responsible for greeting donors at the plasma collection center and conducting a series of registration procedures to qualify donors for the plasma pheresis process. Your duties will include assisting qualified donors in completing the screening process, educating new donors on the use of therapeutic products made from donated plasma, and ensuring that all donor questions are answered timely, accurately, and professionally.
You will also be responsible for maintaining alertness and awareness to any reaction by donor may have during or after the pheresis process and notifying appropriate staff. Additionally, you will conduct daily calibration of equipment and resolve calibration out-of-specification issues according to the SOPs.
Your experience in a clerical or customer service related position, preferably in a medical or health provider environment, will serve you well in this role. You must be able to perform basic math calculations and understand, remember, and apply oral and/or written instructions.
We offer a fast-paced work environment with frequent interruptions. You will be frequently exposed to hazardous chemicals, extreme temperatures, and to blood borne pathogens. Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment while performing specific tasks or in certain areas.
