About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Centra Health. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons and registered nurses in the operating room to maintain a safe and efficient environment.
  • Prepare and maintain surgical equipment and supplies.
  • Participate in patient education and provide support to patients and families.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and adhere to National Patient Safety Goals.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; graduation from a Commission of Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP)-accredited school of Surgical Technology preferred.
  • 12 months of experience as a Surgical Technologist or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Certification in Surgical Technology and current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) course completion card required.
