Position Title: Case Aide

Role Summary

Upon contract award, Case Aides will collaborate closely with the Case Manager and Lead Case Manager as part of the reunification program. The Case Aide is responsible for assisting with daily tasks to ensure timely delivery of case management services to youth. This role requires flexibility, organization, and efficiency, with the potential for extended hours and weekend work.

Key Responsibilities

The Case Aide will undertake various duties, including but not limited to:
  • Ensuring youth are properly enrolled in the internal intake system.
  • Conducting and securing an inventory of youth's personal belongings.
  • Filing and uploading necessary placement documents to the designated software.
  • Facilitating two weekly telephonic contacts with the youth's family or primary caregiver.
  • Coordinating incoming calls between youth and approved family members or caregivers.
  • Assisting with legal service providers' presentations on 'Know Your Rights.'
  • Facilitating communication between attorneys and clients as needed.
  • Providing transportation for clients to essential program services, including court appointments and interviews.
  • Creating and maintaining client intake case files with necessary documentation.
  • Assisting with the organization and maintenance of physical and electronic records.
  • Compiling files for regulatory representatives upon request.
  • Supporting case management in preparing discharge packets and conducting exit orientations.
  • Conducting follow-up service calls 30 days post-reunification.
  • Coordinating travel arrangements for staff transporting youth.
  • Assisting with fingerprint services for family reunification.
  • Demonstrating strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Exhibiting proficiency in verbal communication and translating information into clear written communication.
  • Providing services to a diverse clientele, including refugees and minority families.
  • Working collaboratively across functions while maintaining high-quality work under pressure.
  • Exercising confidentiality and independence in work tasks.
  • Demonstrating comfort with technology and learning new software applications.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Four years of experience in a professional environment preferred.
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is required.
  • Proven ability to think strategically and adapt to changing environments.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and good driving record.
  • Proficient in using computers, smartphones, and relevant software applications.
