Lead Patient Service Representative

The Lead Patient Service Representative will oversee and manage the daily operations of the front office, including supervision and working with the team to ensure a professional, pleasurable, and efficient patient experience. This role is responsible for communicating with patients in person and by phone, addressing their inquiries, scheduling and rescheduling appointments, and updating patient and insurance information.
Responsibilities- Billing: Participate as a working supervisor, completing tasks as needed to ensure accurate and timely entry of charges and payments. Responsible for knowledge of all contracted insurance plans and compliance with Medicare and HIPAA guidelines.
- Front Office Supervision: Monitor work flow, assign tasks, and report to the Operations Manager on staffing issues and business operations.
- Scheduling: Responsible for rescheduling patients under the direction of the Administrator.
- Telephone: Understand and operate the telephone and voice mail system, train front office staff on customer service techniques, and ensure a high quality of service to patients.
High School Graduate or GED, experience in dermatology preferred, knowledge of medical terminology, and knowledge of HIPAA.
