Position Overview
The Universal Banker II is responsible for executing all retail financial transactions, promoting bank products, and delivering exceptional service to clients while strengthening community ties.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technological skills and be responsible for various operational tasks, including branch opening and closing, lobby assistance, and core system supervisory functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding customer service by embodying our service and sales philosophy.
- Assess and identify customer financial needs, recommending suitable products and services.
- Facilitate the opening of new accounts and related services, such as debit cards and direct deposits.
- Handle all financial transactions efficiently.
- Act as a primary resource for inquiries regarding bank products, services, transactions, and policies.
- Identify customer needs and cross-sell appropriate bank products while informing them of promotional offerings.
- Process incoming mail transactions and manage night deposits.
- Participate in daily ATM reconciliation, ensuring adequate cash supply and operational functionality.
Additional Duties
- Engage in branch initiatives organized by management.
- Adopt behaviors aimed at achieving both individual and team objectives.
- Contribute to business development activities.
- Assist branch management with audits, certifications, reconciliations, and other assigned tasks as per policy.
- Effectively educate customers on self-service banking options.
- Support other areas of the bank as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of 2 years of banking experience.
- Experience in retail with a focus on sales and customer service.
- A college degree is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service and sales.
- Flexibility to work varied hours and travel to different branch locations as needed.
- Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
- Ability to work independently.
