Job Summary
Birch Family Services is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Intake Specialist to join our team. As an Intake Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth enrollment process of students at multiple sites, guiding families through the process, and coordinating timely submission of reports to district administrators.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain full program enrollment at all times throughout the 12-month school year.
- Implement policies and procedures to support full student enrollment at all Birch Family Services schools.
- Correspond with district administrators, parents, families, evaluation coordinators, and other relevant staff members.
- Monitor the first attendance dates of newly enrolled students, bussing of newly enrolled students, and distribution and review of IEPs by all relevant staff members.
- Track and ensure completion of annual and quarterly progress reports for all students.
- Coordinate site-based outreach projects, establish relationships with district administrators and community personnel, and represent BFS at local community meetings.
Requirements
- Communication, Oral - Ability to communicate effectively with others using the spoken word.
- Communication, Written - Ability to communicate in writing clearly and concisely.
- Motivation - Ability to inspire oneself and others to reach a goal and/or perform to the best of their ability.
- Organized - Possessing the trait of being organized or following a systematic method of performing a task.
- Time Management - Ability to utilize the available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines.
Education and Experience
- BA preferred; will accept High School diploma with experience in an educational setting.
- Two to four years related experience.
Computer Skills
- Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
