The Salvation Army is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Aquatics Attendant to join our team at the Ray & Joan Kroc Corps Community Center in Philadelphia, PA. As an Aquatics Attendant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our members and guests while providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor access to the aquatic facility and maintain a log of patrons
  • Enforce aquatic department rules, including ensuring minors are properly accompanied by guardians and that only eligible individuals use the facility
  • Address violations to department policies in a respectful and professional manner
  • Report issues, concerns, and questions to direct supervisors for follow-up action
  • Provide program and facility information to Kroc members and guests
  • Actively participate in staff meetings and training sessions
  • Maintain a safe and positive exercise environment in the center's water park and competitive swimming areas
  • Demonstrate knowledge and practical application of the Center's safety and emergency procedures

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED or enrolled in a program designed to result in such achievement
  • Current CPR/AED certification
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
  • Ability to work and relate well with people
  • Proficiency in oral and written communication skills
  • Completion of training on recognizing and reporting child abuse meeting the training standards of PA Act 153 of 2014
  • Meets the Child Protection Clearances required by PA Act 153
