Compensation:
Masonicare is committed to maintaining competitive salary ranges based on market data and your experience level. The pay range for this role is between $40 and $53 per hour.
Unit Overview:
This position is within a 50-bed Behavioral Health Hospital Unit, responsible for overseeing the daily clinical operations and ensuring high-quality patient care delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Serve as a role model for nursing staff by fostering professional practices through effective communication, team building, and advocacy.
- Operational Improvement: Identify and propose enhancements in patient care workflows and delivery, utilizing evidence-based literature to support recommendations.
- Patient Care Management: Oversee daily patient assignments, considering acuity levels and staff capabilities, while ensuring timely communication of any changes.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Act as a liaison among team members to ensure comprehensive behavioral care plans are developed and updated as necessary.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate patient records and treatment plans in accordance with unit policies.
- Incident Management: Lead incident reporting processes, ensuring all documentation is completed prior to submission.
- Staffing Coordination: Manage staffing requirements to ensure adequate coverage for all shifts and address any immediate staffing needs.
Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred or in progress.
- Experience: Minimum of two years in acute care settings, with a preference for knowledge in healthcare regulations and financial aspects.
- Licensure: Current RN licensure in the state of Connecticut is required.
