Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage a team of security guards, providing guidance and training to ensure they are equipped to handle various security situations.
  • Conduct regular patrols and inspections of hospital buildings to identify potential security risks and implement measures to mitigate them.
  • Develop and implement security protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulations.
  • Investigate and report on security incidents, including accidents and near-misses, to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as Risk Management and Patient Safety, to ensure a comprehensive approach to security and safety.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of security incidents and activities.
Requirements
  • Minimum of one (1) year security supervisory/managerial experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written, to meet and deal with the public.
  • Physically fit to perform all security functions.
  • New York State Certification as a Security Guard.
  • New York State Drivers License.
  • High School or GED.
