Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Equipment Technician to join our team at T.W. Frierson Contractor, Inc. As an Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, diagnostics, repair, and service of construction equipment and motor vehicles in our shop and on construction project sites. You will also be responsible for delivering equipment and construction materials and supplies.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on construction equipment and motor vehicles
• Conduct diagnostics and troubleshoot equipment issues
• Service and repair internal combustion engines, DC electrical systems, propane systems, hydraulics, and track and aerial equipment
• Operate all types of construction equipment and vehicles
• Work Monday through Friday, at least eight hours per day, five days a week between the hours of 6:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid state-issued driver's license with good driving record
• Class A CDL with current DOT medical card a plus
• Five years of work experience as a mechanic and detailed knowledge and previous experience working on internal combustion engines, DC electrical systems, propane systems, hydraulics, and track and aerial equipment
• Understanding of basic welding techniques
• Ability to travel within a 50-mile radius of office to local vendors or projects, 4-5 times per week, and occasionally within a 100-mile radius of office
