Position Title: ICP Analytical Chemist

Contract Duration: 12-month contract with potential extensions for long-term engagement.

Work Location: On-site position in Lemont, Illinois.

Working Hours: 8 AM to 5 PM CST, with some flexibility.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Analytical Chemistry.
  • 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in the role of an Analytical Chemist.
  • Proficient in the operation and maintenance of Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP) instrumentation.
  • A strong collaborator with the ability to adapt to changes and demonstrate flexibility.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of building strong professional relationships.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with data analysis software and laboratory information management systems (LIMS).

Insight Global is in search of a talented and driven ICP Analytical Chemist with a strong background in Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS) to contribute to a multidisciplinary science and engineering research center. The ideal candidate will engage in advanced chemical analyses, method development, and validation, ensuring the precision and reliability of analytical results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative analyses of samples utilizing ICP-MS technology.
  • Develop, refine, and validate analytical methodologies for trace element detection.
  • Analyze and present analytical data with a high level of accuracy.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot ICP-MS equipment to guarantee optimal functionality.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to advance research and development initiatives.
  • Adhere to laboratory safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Document and keep precise records of all analytical processes and outcomes.
  • Offer technical guidance and training to junior personnel and colleagues.

Compensation Range:

$20 to $28 per hour, with variations based on experience, skills, and educational background.

Benefits will commence on the 31st day of employment, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as options for HSA, FSA, and DCFSA accounts, along with access to a 401k retirement plan with employer matching. Employees in this position are also eligible for paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as mandated by applicable laws.
