Job Title: Shipping & Receiving Production Assistant

Job Summary:

Hera Technologies, LLC is seeking a highly motivated Shipping & Receiving Production Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving multiple projects of varying complexities throughout the entire project life cycle, from raw material to shipping.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate inventory levels, labeling, and organization, including shelf-life items.
  • Ensure the department meets cleanliness standards, with regular audits performed as needed.
  • Assign production department tasks, including daily planning and execution of jobs.
  • Meet shipping goals as defined by the Production Manager.
  • Coordinate day-to-day production throughput, including scheduling, planning, and execution of all jobs.
  • Provide accurate daily reporting of production status, schedules, updates, and corrections.
  • Utilize electronic communications boards to effectively communicate department metrics.
  • Maintain traveler conformance on a day-to-day basis.
  • Collaborate with the Production Manager and Director of Operations to develop and measure improvement of key performance indicators: safety, quality, on-time delivery, and efficiency.
  • Manage and properly use JobBoss modules applicable to your areas of responsibility.
  • Lead shop floor personnel to meet company goals.
  • Fulfill support activities, such as making parts or other tasks as needed.
  • Be directly involved in the implementation and execution of continuous improvement planning and implementation.
  • Support 5-S and adhere to health, safety, and environmental company guidelines.
  • Ensure all jobs have been correctly completed through every step of the process, taking action to resolve discrepancies.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of manufacturing production control experience in an aerospace manufacturing job-shop environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and react to project changes.
  • Excellent planning, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent PC skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and MS Project.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written English.
  • Ability to learn cross-functional operations.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to safely lift at least 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to navigate the warehouse and use hands and arms to reach, feel, or handle items both high and low.
  • Stand and/or sit for long periods of time.
  • Sit, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
  • Regularly required to talk and hear.
  • Vision abilities required by this job include near vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
