Job Summary

Cayuga Health System is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Services Representative to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Intake: Greet and check-in patients, verify and update patient demographics, and assist with filling out consent forms.
  • Financial Transactions: Receive and process cash and credit card payments for medical services rendered.
  • Communication: Initiate calls, pages, and triage phone calls to ensure timely and effective communication with patients and healthcare providers.
  • Administrative Support: Assist with admissions, discharges, transfers, and other customer service or clerical duties.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Skills: Professional manner and appearance, strong interpersonal and communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, ability to work independently, and good time management and prioritization skills.
  • Preferred Qualifications: College-level training or education in a healthcare support field, previous EMR use or training, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Work Environment
  • Physical Requirements: 80% standing, 20% sitting.
  • Location: Onsite.
Compensation
  • Pay Range: $16.00 to $19.00 per hour.
