Description


As the Vice President of Finance at The Ladders, you will take charge of all financial operations for the organization, providing on-site leadership and strategic direction.

Your main objective will be to foster process uniformity while leveraging data-driven insights to promote sustainable growth.

We are in search of an energetic leader with robust business insight and a proven history of managing a diverse team towards achieving financial success.

This role will encompass current operations and will expand in scope as further business opportunities arise.


Responsibilities:

Team Leadership:
Inspire, guide, and develop a high-performing finance team to deliver outstanding results.

Strategic Leadership:
Formulate and execute strategic initiatives to boost profitability, productivity, and operational efficiency across the organization.

Financial Oversight:
Supervise the financial performance of the organization, including budgeting, forecasting, and management of financial statements.

Acquisition Leadership:
Contribute to target identification, oversee financial due diligence, and facilitate the financial integration of acquired entities.

Compliance and Quality Assurance:
Ensure adherence to all legal and regulatory standards while maintaining the highest quality and consistency in operations.

  • Prepare periodic reports for the board, including the presentation of financial statements.

Key Metrics for the First 12 Months:

  • Foster financial accountability for business metrics and track improvement initiatives across the organization.
  • Assess acquisition opportunities and finalize agreements that yield over $25M in annualized revenue.
  • Implement cost evaluation and optimization strategies to enhance SG&A as a percentage of sales to 17%.

Compensation:

A competitive compensation package, inclusive of a comprehensive benefits plan, will be provided based on experience and qualifications. Equity participation is also a likely component.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in a financial leadership role within a manufacturing context.
  • Demonstrated success in financial statement management and commercial achievement.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse and expanding team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting and a CPA designation. CFA and other relevant certifications are advantageous.
  • International experience is highly recommended.
