Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Safety Consultant to join our team in the Pacific Northwest. As a key member of our safety team, you will be responsible for providing health and safety compliance consulting services to our clients, helping them to improve their performance and achieve their health and safety goals and objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Health and Safety Risk Identification and Evaluation: Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Health and Safety Compliance Audits: Conduct audits to evaluate the applicability and conformance of our clients' health and safety management systems with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Health and Safety Management System Design and Implementation: Design, develop, and implement health and safety management systems that meet the needs of our clients and comply with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Development and Implementation of Written Health and Safety Programs: Develop and implement written health and safety programs, including hazard communication, lockout/tagout, confined space, working from heights, hazardous materials storage, hot work, and machine guarding.
  • Safety Training Program Development and Support: Develop and support safety training programs to ensure that our clients' employees have the knowledge and skills necessary to work safely.
  • Project Management and Oversight: Manage and oversee projects to ensure that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of our clients.
  • Client Relationship Management and Growth: Build and maintain strong relationships with our clients, identifying opportunities to grow our services and increase revenue.
  • Deliverables and Reporting: Prepare and deliver reports and other materials to our clients, as required.
  • Mentorship and Team Support: Mentor and support junior team members to help them develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Travel and Client Site Visits: Travel to client sites as needed to provide services and support.
Qualifications
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP): Hold a valid CSP certification.
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in safety, industrial hygiene, science, or engineering-related field, and 10-15 years of experience in various manufacturing environments across targeted industries.
  • OSHA Health and Safety Audits: Experience organizing and conducting OSHA health and safety audits.
  • OSHA Compliance Programs: Experience developing and delivering OSHA compliance programs.
  • Safety Due Diligence Assessments: Experience performing safety due diligence assessments.
  • Safety Management Systems: Experience designing, developing, and implementing safety management systems (ISO 45001, OSHA Safety-Health Management System, etc.).
  • Business Development and Account Management: Experience in business development and working with account teams to grow revenue.
  • Communication and Technical Skills: Strong communication and technical skills, both written and oral.
  • Teamwork and Client Relationship Building: Ability to work as a team player, build strong relationships with clients, and develop a positive reputation within the industry.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to carry equipment such as ladders and air monitoring equipment up to 40 lbs, climb ladders, scaffolding, and stairs, and wear a respirator, safety harness, and other safety equipment as needed.
  • Background Check and Physical: Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check, drug screen, physical, and motor vehicle records check.
  • Valid Driver's License: Must have a valid driver's license.

  • Client Management Experience: Experience managing client relationships and growing revenue.
  • Service Growth Experience: Experience growing services and increasing revenue.
