Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a Sober Living Environment: Ensure a safe and healthy living space for residents, promoting recovery skills and a caring attitude.
  • Crisis Intervention and De-escalation: Provide timely and effective crisis intervention, consulting with supervisors as needed.
  • Establish Trusting Relationships: Foster strong relationships with clients, modeling awareness and behavior necessary for growth and development.
  • Monitor Resident Progress: Track participants' use of services and treatment, impacting independence and overall well-being.
  • Accurate Shift Reports: Provide daily reports on resident activities and progress.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate in team planning, case reviews, and program goal achievement.
  • Program Image and Representation: Assist in maintaining a positive program image in the community.
  • Agency Meetings and Training: Attend agency and training meetings as requested.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned, ensuring compliance with agency policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Experience providing supportive services, crisis intervention, and AOD services for individuals in recovery.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Ability to model open communication, fair treatment, and conflict management.
  • Stress Management: Ability to work in stressful and crisis-oriented environments.
  • Driver's License and Insurability: Valid Ohio Driver's License and ability to meet agency requirements for driving insurability.
  • Criminal Background Check: Ability to meet agency requirements for random drug screens and criminal background checks.
  • Communication and De-escalation Skills: Good communication and de-escalation skills.
  • Therapeutic Boundaries: Ability to maintain appropriate therapeutic boundaries.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of sober living and recovery skills, empowerment of clients, and a caring attitude.
Education and Experience
  • Minimum Educational Requirements: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Related Experience: Minimum 1 year experience preferred, working with individuals recovering from alcohol or other drug addictions, or completion of relevant coursework at a college level.
