Job Summary:

Primary Purpose and Responsibilities:

  • The Clinical Research Nurse Coordinator plays a critical role in enhancing the quality of life for Virginians by providing advanced cancer care through patient-focused prevention and treatment, impactful research, and collaboration with the community.
  • The role involves collaborating with healthcare professionals and researchers to administer direct care to individuals participating in clinical trial research protocols.
  • The Clinical Research Nurse Coordinator identifies deviations from normal conditions, analyzes patient status, and adjusts treatment plans under the guidance of medical staff.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of patient care and contributing to the development of cutting-edge research initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with treating physicians and/or investigators to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Identify and address any deviations from normal conditions, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
  • Contribute to the development of research initiatives and protocols.
  • Work closely with healthcare professionals and researchers to ensure the highest level of patient care.

Requirements:

  • Experience in clinical research and patient care.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to analyze patient status and adjust treatment plans.
