Citigroup Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Operational Risk Management Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our risk management function, you will play a critical role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating operational risks that could impact our business.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in the development and implementation of operational risk policies, procedures, and controls to minimize losses from failed internal processes, inadequate controls, and emerging risks.
- Contribute to risk assessments and drive actions to address the root causes of operational risk losses by challenging historical and proposed practices.
- Provide governance and oversight, including technology operational risk, risk management, and control environment evaluation.
- Coordinate audits, examinations, and deliverable requirements from internal and external reviewers.
- Ensure project completion, special assignments, and other ad hoc activities as required.
- Ensure the Operations Team is in compliance with all regulatory policies and procedures.
- 5-8 years of relevant experience in operational risk management or a related field.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate across diverse groups.
- Demonstrated understanding of operational risk and gap identification, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to present a compelling case to influence others.
- SCRA regulatory policies and procedures knowledge.
Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with front-to-back trade processing, with an emphasis on settlement and post-settlement activities, including reconciliations and reporting.
- Solid understanding of systemic flows and potential controls.
