We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Scientist to join our team at Emory Healthcare. As a key member of our nursing administration, you will play a critical role in advancing professional practice and improving patient outcomes through research and evidence-based practice.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement research and evidence-based practice initiatives to promote patient-centered care and improve patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with nursing experts and community resources to advance professional practice and improve healthcare outcomes.
- Provide leadership and education to staff on research and evidence-based practice, including formal classes and informal sessions.
- Identify opportunities for research funding and assist departments and individuals in applying for and obtaining funding.
- Mentor and coach staff on IRB submission, abstract development, poster presentations, and publication.
- PhD in nursing preferred; actively pursuing a nursing PhD a minimal requirement.
- Five years of experience in nursing practice, including experience in study design and the research process.
- Experience facilitating nursing research and evidence-based practice.
- Valid, active unencumbered Nursing license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board.
