Electronics Maintenance Specialist

Job SummaryThe Electronics Maintenance Specialist is responsible for performing scheduled maintenance on existing machines and utilities in the plant. This includes repairs, improvements, protocols, maintenance procedures, changeovers, overhauls, retrofits, lubrication, troubleshooting, recontrols, and equipment installations. The goal is to ensure maximum availability and reliability of these assets, allowing the plant to fulfill its production requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in asset efficiency meetings to analyze root causes of failures and provide solutions for improvements.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance for all machinery electrical panels & controls, including instrumentation, electro pneumatic valves, sensors, and mechanical systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic equipment, including programmable controls, PLC controls, control panels, power supplies, electric motors, motor control circuits, electric heater circuits, encoders, resolvers, servomotors, frequency drives, gages, safety instruments, and testing devices.
- Conduct full troubleshooting of cooling systems inside the facility using experience in cooling equipment, such as chillers, cooling towers, cooling compressors, thermoregulators, etc.
- Collect and analyze manufacturing control floor systems data to understand machinery downtime data, downtime reasons, etc., and propose root cause solutions.
- Provide solutions to improve machinery efficiency, update electrical, control, pneumatic, vacuum, instruments, and mechanical systems to avoid high costs for machinery replacement.
- Ensure every mechanism in the machines works properly to achieve production goals.
- Electrical Engineer degree or Electromechanical degree, preferably in mechatronic, mechanical, or electrical.
- Minimum 3 to 7 years in electrical or electromechanical technical positions, preferably in manufacturing facilities.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, instrumentation, and PLC maintenance. General understanding of CMMS.
- Certifications preferred: Electrical Engineer, Electrical Technician, Programmer Logical Control (PLC) Technician Certified Allen Bradley & Siemens.
