Physical Therapy Assistant

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a skilled Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team in South Gate, California.
Job Summary:As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to provide high-quality patient care and support. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with patient evaluations, developing and implementing treatment plans, and providing education to patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist physical therapists with patient evaluations, including taking medical histories, conducting physical assessments, and developing treatment plans.
- Implement treatment plans, including exercises, modalities, and other interventions, under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist.
- Provide education to patients and their families on proper body mechanics, exercise techniques, and other relevant topics.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including progress notes and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech therapists, to provide comprehensive patient care.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in physical therapy or a related field preferred.
- Ability to read, understand, and transcribe medical information.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lift or transport containers/packages of up to 50lbs weight.
- Ability to learn and operate electronic ordering devices and other medical equipment.
