Physical Therapist Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at Alta Hospitals. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work under the direction of a Physical Therapist to initiate and perform patient treatments using various procedures, modalities, and instructions as outlined in the care plan.
Key Responsibilities- Perform direct patient care activities, including therapeutic exercises/activities, patient/family education, daily progress notes, and accurate charge entry.
- Prepare schedules for patients' treatment and clean and disinfect equipment as needed.
- Monitor patients' response to treatment and report any recommended changes to the therapist in a timely manner.
- Implement timely treatment plans as established by the therapist and ensure accurate and complete patient clinical documentation.
- Maintain institutional compliance with professional, accrediting, and regulatory standards of care.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to work variable shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to maintain flexibility and composure in a constantly changing environment.
- Previous experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant in an acute care hospital.
- Bilingual skills to communicate effectively with patients and families.
- AHA Basic Life Support.
- Hospital Fire and Life Safety Card (Los Angeles City Employees only).
- Current Physical Therapy Assistant License.
