Position Summary

We are in search of a seasoned marketing and communications leader to formulate and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy while overseeing an established team within our global private wealth division. The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

  • Enhancing our marketing materials and developing a robust communication strategy that encompasses podcasts, speaking engagements, webinars, and social media outreach.
  • Crafting a compelling narrative that aligns with the stringent regulations of our industry.
  • Innovating new techniques to elevate our brand presence and expand our reach.

This prominent role is vital to the growth trajectory of StepStone Group, requiring close collaboration with senior leaders in the private wealth division and frequent interaction with our global business development teams, corporate marketing, and portfolio managers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with leadership across relevant departments to assess business needs, prioritize initiatives, and manage expectations for deliverables.
  • Design and execute a marketing strategy tailored to our target market, utilizing social media, events, public speaking, press releases, articles, and other communication channels.
  • Collaborate in the creation, drafting, and proofreading of content for various marketing initiatives, ensuring consistency and compliance with the StepStone brand.
  • Oversee third-party public relations efforts to identify opportunities for thought leadership, including podcasts and articles.
  • Develop strategies to enhance user experience on our Private Wealth website.
  • Propose cost-effective plans for SEO marketing, paid advertisements, and other search optimization tools.
  • Analyze data related to the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and recommend improvements based on performance metrics.
  • Identify suitable social media platforms for our target audience, manage posting schedules, and oversee execution of the strategy.
  • Lead and mentor a team of mid-level staff, fostering strong relationships across multiple locations.
  • Identify third-party vendors and technology solutions to streamline collateral requests.
  • Supervise the creation and upkeep of marketing materials, including decks and fact sheets.
  • Assist in various projects and analyses for the private wealth and business development teams.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in management, with a focus on empowering team members and ensuring accountability for timelines and quality outcomes.
  • Strong collaborative spirit and work ethic, with a keen interest in private markets and wealth management.
  • Exceptional project management capabilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to work autonomously while being an effective team player.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, finance, business, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in marketing and communications.
