Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Respiratory Therapy Clinical Director to lead our clinical education program. The successful candidate will have a strong background in respiratory therapy and experience in clinical education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of clinical instructors and provide guidance and counseling as needed.
  • Secure new clinical sites and contractual agreements to ensure high-quality clinical education.
  • Visit clinical facilities to provide technical instruction and ensure students receive quality patient care.
  • Develop and maintain records of medical direction and ensure students receive medical physician contacts.
  • Coordinate with clinical staff to establish clinical assignments for students and develop clinical objectives and evaluations.
  • Instruct students in both classroom theory and learning laboratory settings.
  • Prepare lecture plans and materials, and provide feedback to students.
  • Coordinate the clinical education plan and recommend changes to the Program Director as needed.
  • Maintain student grades and prepare final grades at the end of each semester.
Requirements
  • Baccalaureate degree from an accredited academic institute.
  • Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) and Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) State license.
  • Four (4) years of experience as a registered respiratory therapist, including two (2) years of experience in clinical respiratory care.
  • Two (2) years of instructor experience in an accredited respiratory therapy program.
  • Verbal and written communication skills, and knowledge of Word, Excel, Power Point, and other computer skills.
