Position Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Junior Engineer to assist in Advanced Aircraft Research, Development, Test & Evaluation (AARDT&E) specifically for the F-35 Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter program. This role is pivotal in ensuring that mission systems meet operational requirements and performance standards.

Key Responsibilities:
A typical day in this role may involve:

  • Engaging with cutting-edge defense technology.
  • Conducting tests and evaluations of mission systems.
  • Planning and executing test activities for avionics, radar, communications, and electronic warfare systems.
  • Analyzing test data to identify trends and ensure compliance with program requirements.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance testing procedures.
  • Developing test plans and reports in accordance with DoD standards.
  • Participating in technical reviews and providing expertise on mission systems.
  • Troubleshooting issues during testing to optimize performance.
  • Ensuring all testing activities are conducted safely and competently.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in systems testing and evaluation.
  • Experience in data analysis and reporting.
  • Proficiency in defense system testing software and tools.
  • Familiarity with DoD testing processes and standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • The capability to work effectively within a team.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Security Clearance.

Desired Skills:
Preferred qualifications include:

  • In-depth knowledge of F-35 mission systems.
  • Current DoD Top Secret Security Clearance.

Work Environment:
The role involves working in an office setting, primarily at a desk using a computer. The position may require occasional travel and physical activity, including lifting items up to 50 lbs.
