Equipment Maintenance Specialist

As a skilled Equipment Maintenance Specialist at Alyeska Resort, you will play a vital role in ensuring the optimal performance of our rental and customer-owned equipment. Your expertise will guarantee that guests enjoy safe and satisfying experiences on the slopes.
Key Responsibilities
Welcome and assist guests professionally, ensuring a positive and efficient experience.
Perform standard maintenance on customer-owned equipment and Alyeska's rental fleet.
Collaborate with the rental shop team to ensure proper inventory management and equipment availability.
Maintain detailed records of equipment maintenance, inspections, and repairs for tracking and compliance purposes.
Provide guidance on equipment adjustments to enhance guests' comfort and performance.
Conduct routine safety inspections on rental equipment to identify and address any potential hazards or maintenance needs.
Aid the rental shop during peak hours to meet guests' equipment needs.
Help guests choose the right-sized boots, skis, and snowboards based on height, weight, and skill level.
Calculate binding tensions and pole lengths to ensure a comfortable fit.
Present rental agreements, address guest questions, and ensure the completion of all necessary documents.
Promptly address and resolve any guest concerns or issues related to rental equipment.
Stay informed about the latest advancements and trends in skiing and snowboarding equipment.
Requirements
Minimum age of 18 years.
Multiple seasons of prior experience in the maintenance and tuning of skiing and snowboarding equipment.
Knowledge of ski and snowboard gear and accessories.
Possession of required certifications for various ski, snowboarding, and bike brands.
Preferably, experience with Wintersteiger and Grindrite repair machinery.
Prior experience in handling cash is a plus.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Excellent customer service aptitude.
Ability to assist guests of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities.
Availability for a flexible work schedule that includes weekends and holidays.
