As a Senior Accounting Specialist, you will play a vital role in our mission to break the cycles of generational poverty and chronic homelessness. You will be responsible for tracking, analyzing, and reporting project financial status, ensuring that procedures and policies are in place to fulfill all contractual financial obligations. Your primary goal will be to facilitate effective and efficient financial reporting, ensuring compliance with local, state, and corporate policies.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • You will maintain a clear understanding of revenue recognition, project invoicing, journal entry preparation, and general accounting rules.
  • You will support both management and clients by communicating financial insights and reporting on the performance of assigned projects in a way that non-financial team members can understand.
  • You will direct fiscal operations relating to financial planning, funds management, accounting, reporting, and disbursement.
  • You will perform month-end closing activities.
  • You will process accounts payable, and prepare accounts receivable invoices to customers.
  • You will prepare and maintain budgets, forecasts, and cash flows across multiple funding streams and communicate the contract's financial position.
  • You will administer supplier contract terms, verify compliance, and review payments.
  • You will prepare financial performance reviews and maintain project financial data.

Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications. Additionally, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.
