Role Summary

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) is responsible for ensuring high-quality patient-centered care and coordination of all functions in the unit/department during designated shifts.

In collaboration with the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care according to established policies/procedures, serves as a resource person for staff, and models commitment to the organization's vision/mission/values.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality care.
  • Participate in ongoing assessment of patient care services provided in the unit, collaborating with other members of the management team.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
  • Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
Required Qualifications:
  • BASIC CARDIAC LIFE SUPPORT MUST BE OBTAINED WITHIN 30 DAYS OF EMPLOYMENT START DATE.
  • Trauma Care After Resuscitation must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
  • Registered Nurse Diploma Required.
