Occupational Therapist Specialist for Rehabilitation Services

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at JAG Physical Therapy. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a crucial role in helping patients achieve their full potential and regain functional independence.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing patients' strengths and weaknesses, developing individualized treatment plans, and providing patient-centered care to enhance recovery and functional independence. This role emphasizes collaboration with an interdisciplinary team and maintaining a supportive environment while encouraging positive patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Collects and records patient care data that follows format and guidelines of the patient care service, regulatory agencies, and third-party payers.
- Prepares for evaluations in accordance with department policies/procedures and standards of practice, including obtaining patient history, exhibiting knowledge of patient diagnoses, and researching unfamiliar diagnoses.
- Establishes treatment plans based on evaluation results, goals, and best practices. Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, patients, and patient support systems.
- Provides education/training to patients and/or patient support systems, focusing on functional training, neurological interventions, musculoskeletal interventions, and other areas as needed.
- Maintains accurate records of patient progress, including daily notes, reassessments/progress reports, discharge plans, and communication with members of the team.
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree required; Doctorate degree preferred.
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with valid CPR License.
- Completed state-regulated CEU requirement in the appropriate state (NY, NJ).
- Experience/knowledge with an EMR software is preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong clinical decision-making skills, and a minimum of 1+ year(s) professional OT experience.
- Basic computer skills, ability to work as a team member, and maintain a positive, professional demeanor at all times.
- Competitive salary: $62,500 - $85,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
