Job Summary

Ultra Electronics Ocean Systems Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer I to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective production of our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing flow charts, work instructions, and manufacturing bills of materials (BOMs) to ensure seamless production processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement lean manufacturing principles and improve production efficiency.
  • Conduct failure analysis and root cause investigations to identify and resolve production issues.
  • Support the development and implementation of new products and processes, ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with the design engineering team to ensure design for manufacturability (DFM) principles are applied to new products.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering and 2+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive root cause analysis and implement process improvements.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and quality tools such as DMAIC and PFMEA.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ability to learn company-specific software and systems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the manufacturing of electronic systems utilizing lean and Six Sigma processes.
  • Strong skills in design analysis and design for manufacturing.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
