We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Policy Advisor to join our team at the Department of Justice. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in shaping our policies and programs related to criminal justice, courts, and adjudications.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert advice and guidance on criminal justice courts and adjudications efforts, including program scope and authorization, latest research, and effective practices.
- Apply analytical methods and techniques to identify and resolve criminal justice courts and adjudications crime reduction, and/or related system integrity and access to justice issues.
- Plan and execute work related to criminal courts, adjudications, and system integrity.
- Communicate effectively in writing and verbally on criminal courts, adjudications, and system integrity and access to justice efforts.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Subject to background/suitability investigation/determination.
- Submit all required documents and Online Assessment Questionnaire.
- Federal payments are required to be made by Direct Deposit.
- Requires registration for the Selective Service.
- Drug testing required.
- 1-year probationary period may be required.
Applicants must have one year of specialized experience at least equivalent to the GS-13 level, which includes experience with courts and adjudications, crime reduction, and/or related system integrity programs, operations, and capacity building efforts.
Applicants who meet the minimum qualifications will be further evaluated based on the following technical qualifications:
- Ability to provide advice and guidance on criminal justice courts and adjudications efforts.
- Ability to apply analytical methods and techniques in the identification and resolution of criminal justice courts and adjudications crime reduction, and/or related system integrity and access to justice issues.
- Ability to plan and execute work related to criminal courts, adjudications, and system integrity.
