- Pre-Testing: Gather preliminary data through patient pre-testing, including documenting chief complaints, medical history, visual acuity, eye movement, and other essential information.
- Education and Instruction: Educate patients about the testing process, provide instructions for accurate results, and ensure they understand their options for eyewear.
- Documentation: Accurately and efficiently document pre-testing results into our electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Contact Lens Care: Educate patients on proper contact lens insertion, removal, and care.
- Assistance during Examinations: Assist optometrists as needed during examinations, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
- Frame and Lens Selection: Assist patients in selecting frames and lenses, providing expert guidance and recommendations.
- Team Support: Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless patient care and a positive experience.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: 1-3 years of prior optometric technician experience preferred.
- Skills: Adaptable, flexible, self-motivated, detail-oriented, strong communication skills, and a professional appearance.
