Position Overview:
The role involves managing middleware software solutions, enterprise email and messaging systems, web applications, and directory services. This includes performing regular updates and patching for supported systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and document applications, ensuring compliance with service management protocols.
- Act as the primary administrator and level 1 and 2 approver for Application Support Services change management functions.
- Coordinate changes to supported applications within the Information Systems Services.
- Analyze transaction tracing and monitoring data to assist in incident response and problem resolution.
- Serve as the first point of contact for incidents related to supported applications.
- Assist in the collection and analysis of performance data for supported applications.
- Create and maintain departmental work instructions.
- Conduct technical Proof of Concepts (POCs) for new tools and services.
- Facilitate training sessions on technical topics and emerging technology trends.
- Participate in departmental projects and initiatives.
- Research technical challenges and propose solutions for improvement.
Minimum Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in computer science, programming/scripting, or a related field is required, along with three years of experience in information technology. Experience with storage and backup solutions is preferred. An application support certification in relevant areas is also preferred. Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience will be considered.
Proficiency in some of the following areas is required: LDAP, Active Directory, enterprise backup, storage, monitoring systems, automated system patching, middleware applications, web applications, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Teams, and automated job scheduling systems. Experience with software application patching and administration is essential, along with the ability to analyze and resolve complex issues independently while effectively communicating with stakeholders.
The position requires availability for on-call support around the clock. Occasional travel may be necessary for enterprise site visits.
