Multi-Craft Specialist

The Multi-Craft Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes. Reporting to the Team Leader/Maintenance Manager, this individual will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of equipment and systems.
This is a 12-hour day shift position, with a 3-days-on, 3-days-off schedule. The successful candidate will be required to work independently and as part of a team to achieve production goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions, utilizing appropriate tools and techniques.
- Repair or replace defective components, such as motors, belts, gears, or electrical wiring, as needed.
- Maintain documentation for existing and new equipment.
- Maintain up-to-date records of all maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and replacement of parts.
- Provide assistance to mechanical installations as directed.
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulics, electrical/mechanical problems on machinery.
- Interface with equipment operators and maintenance staff to ascertain problems with equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics to determine problems and make appropriate repairs.
- Install and service a variety of systems including hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical, communications and process control systems.
- Support continuous improvement engineer(s) and production departments by suggesting ways to improve the reliability and/or productivity of the equipment.
- Willing and able to adhere to all safety standards and wear all necessary personal protective equipment.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED. Technical certification or vocational training in maintenance or a related field is preferred.
- OR 3-5 years related work experience.
- Experience with industrial, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic control systems.
- Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).
- Strong organizational and time management abilities to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Good communication skills to interact with team members and management.
- Ability to work individually or in a team situation.
