Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a DCI Specialist. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for processing gun permit applications, operating the DCI terminal, and performing background checks and fingerprinting for citizens and attorneys.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain the DCI terminal to ensure accurate and efficient processing of applications.
  • Investigate and determine the eligibility of concealed carry and firearm purchase permit applicants.
  • Process and modify permits in the DCI federal system.
  • Fingerprint applicants, sex offenders, juvenile offenders, and other individuals as required.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to the public, answering questions and providing accurate information and direction.
  • Process daily deposits and maintain accurate ledgers.
  • Attend required training and seminars to stay up-to-date with gun laws and statutes.
Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in business administration or a related field, and 1 year of office/clerical experience, or a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Ability to obtain DCI certification and maintain required certifications, including Notary Public, CJ Leads, and Ewarrants.
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing laws and regulations.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to decipher written laws and present information in an understandable way.
  • Strong multi-tasking skills and attention to detail.
