Job Summary

PremiStar is seeking a skilled Apprentice Boiler Technician to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for assembling, analyzing defects in, and repairing boilers, boiler tubes, pressure vessels, tanks, and vats in the field according to blueprint specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and inspect boilers, pressure vessels, and tanks to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Analyze defects in boilers, boiler tubes, and pressure vessels to determine the best course of repair.
  • Repair and replace defective parts, including safety valves, regulators, and automatic-control mechanisms.
  • Inspect and test boilers, pressure vessels, and tanks to ensure they are functioning properly.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of boiler repair, maintenance, and installation techniques.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent and 1-4 years of experience in the trade.
  • Knowledge of boiler repairs, maintenance, and installation techniques.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal team members and customers.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and written reference material.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations and diagnose problems.
Work Environment

This job operates primarily alone and travels to different work sites each day. May work in tight spaces, typically indoors, but may work outside in poor weather conditions. Vehicles are used as the base of operations.
